The West African Sanitation Policy & Activators (WASPA) commissioned Senegal Flying Labs to map illegal dumping sites and monitor their activity, such as trucks intervals. The team mapped 403 ha / 4 km2 in three flights with the eBee X fixed-wing drone.

Previously, this information was collected manually in the field, making the process much longer, risky, and difficult.

Fill the form to download this case study and learn how the drone and the outputs allowed to:

  • Efficiently and safely monitor the illegal activity.
  • Raise awareness of the harmful effect on the environment.
  • Help the authorities take the right decisions from the processed drone images.

The Flying Labs network, co-created and facilitated by the not-for-profit organization WeRobotics, consists of independent, locally-led knowledge hubs across Africa, Asia, Latin America and beyond.
