Major Specialty Crop Producer Chooses AgEagle Aerial Systems for New Water Conservation and Sustainability Pilot Program on West Coast

NEODESHA, Kan., May 21, 2019 — AgEagle Aerial Systems, Inc. (NYSE American: UAVS), an industry leading provider of advanced aerial imagery and data collection and analytics solutions for the sustainable agriculture, precision farming and urban green management markets, today announced that a major specialty crop producer has chosen to team with AgEagle on a new water conservation and sustainability pilot program, leveraging the Company’s proprietary FarmLens solution to monitor soil health and moisture, water utilization efficiency and pest and disease control on a produce crop grown in the state of California.

In addition to its many robust features and capabilities, FarmLens (and ParkView urban green management solution) have recently been enhanced with advanced soil moisture sensor technology. This feature is important for measuring soil moisture accurately in real-time in order to understand spatial water utilization, and to provide a basis for selection of times and thresholds for optimum irrigation.

Barrett Mooney, Chief Executive Officer of AgEagle, noted, “We are very pleased to expand the growing list of forward-thinking commercial growers who are looking to AgEagle for cost-efficient aerial imaging and data analytics solutions for effectively monitoring, managing and analyzing their crops and farming practices.  By enabling them to achieve higher yields more responsibly, efficiently and with greater insight into their environmental impact, everyone benefits – our clients, their local communities and the planet.”

Designed to proactively assess and manage the health of commercial crops, reduce applied chemicals in the field, and preserve and protect natural resources; AgEagle’s FarmLens solution has processed more than 1.3 million acres of crops, analyzing data from 53 different crop types being grown in over 50 countries worldwide.

“Environmental sustainability in agriculture – supported by highly advanced aerial imaging and data analytics – is fast becoming a smarter approach to commercial crop production around the world, proving to be economically viable, socially responsible and ecologically sound.  We expect to complete a very successful pilot and look forward to ultimately helping our new client to scale their sustainability program across their full commercial farming enterprise,” concluded Mooney.
