Technical Project Manager, Inc. | AgEagle

Job Summary:

NYSE-listed AgEagle Aerial Systems is seeking a Technical Project Manager to become an integral part of the team, responsible for providing in-depth project planning and management for our established and developing products. This role ensures that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget. Our Project Manager will use their industry expertise to improve all aspects of project planning and resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the detailed project plan for upcoming sensor development
  • Sets project’s plan based on the program or functional team’s strategic objectives
  • Assign and oversee the daily tasks of engineers while ensuring team members are actively working toward established milestones
  • Conduct workload and supply planning, tracking, and forecasting  
  • Analyze, plan, and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled and in development projects
  • Develop and execute manufacturing plans and for new sensors
  • Oversee product from concept through prototype and low volume validation production and transition sensor to manufacturing
  • Manage the resource planning, cost estimating, budgeting, and control for development projects
  • Hold regular team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for team members required for specific projects or initiatives
  • Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making recommendations on systems improvements
  • Update and maintain all production technologies ensuring proper maintenance and production  
  • Assess and evaluate potential tradeoffs during product development (Risk/Time/Cost/Impact)
  • Establish and implement training processes and strategies for technical team members

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field required
  • Minimum of 5 years in Project Management or related technical experience
  • Experience developing space-constrained electronics
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methodology
  • Self-motivated, and able to take ownership of a project, seeing it through with minimal oversight
  • Familiar with version control methods and documentation
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
  • Strong sense of curiosity and a desire to learn new skills
  • Able to be forward thinking and proactive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on embedded Linux applications
  • Experience working hands-on with hardware, and using electronic test equipment (multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, soldering)
  • Robotics, optical, unmanned aircraft, or agricultural technology experience
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
