23 Jun Can a garden tractor do the work of a big farm tractor?
If someone told you that a garden mower is just as good for farming and can do just as much as a big farm tractor, would you question the validity of that statement and potentially everything else about that company? I would hope so.
So be careful when some aerial imaging processing companies state that a Chinese drone with a color camera (RGB) can do just as good of job in detecting crop health as a NIR (near infrared) that is designed specifically to detect accurate crop health. They call it “False NDVI.” Statements like this are misleading and inaccurate.
Don’t be misled. If you are thinking of investing in a drone for agriculture be sure to download the free report “Debunking False NDVI.”
Making important farming decisions using False NDVI can cause you to make inaccurate and potentially costly decisions.
